Training Supported Walks

STRUCTURED WALKS THAT SUPPORT TRAINING, NOT WORK AGAINST IT

At Flying Paws, we know that exercise is only one part of what dogs need to thrive.

Many of the families we work with are doing the training, building calm behaviours, and helping their dogs feel safer in the world. The challenge is not knowing what to do. It is having consistent support when life gets busy.

Flying Paws Training Supported Walks extend your dog’s learning beyond the training space, bringing structure, guidance, and consistency into real life environments.

These walks are structured, welfare focused, and guided by the same training principles you already know from us. This is not a traditional dog walking service.

Because exercise alone is not always enough. The way a dog is walked matters.

For dogs who need more than just a walk.

What Makes Training Supported Walks Different?

  • Single dog walks or dogs from the same household if appropriate
  • Designed to support emotional regulation and training goals
  • Structured handling that aligns with Flying Paws methods
  • Suitable for adolescents, sensitive dogs, or dogs still learning calm skills
  • Calm, thoughtful exposure to the world rather than high arousal outings

Our goal is not just to exercise your dog.

It is to help maintain the progress you have already worked so hard to build.

Who These Walks Are For?

For dogs who need more than just a walk

Training Supported Walks are ideal for:

  • Families wanting ongoing structure and enrichment

  • Adolescents who need guidance, not just physical exercise

  • Dogs who do not suit group walks or busy group environments

  • Owners who value welfare focused handling

  • Dogs currently in training or who have completed Flying Paws programs

If your dog simply needs a high energy group outing, this service may not be the right fit. Training Supported Walks are calm, intentional, and tailored to each individual dog.

Our Approach

If we move forward with this service, we will carefully bring the right person into the Flying Paws team. They will be trained and supported in our approach so that every walk reflects the standards, handling, and welfare focus you expect from us.

Consistency matters. That is why availability will be limited to ensure quality and individual attention.

Structured Walk Durations

  • 45 Minute Training Supported Walks
  • 60 Minute Training Supported Walks
  • Flexible placements depending on suitability and availability

Specific scheduling will be discussed with selected families after the application process.

A Note From Flying Paws

Training Supported Walks are not about replacing training.
They are about supporting consistency, emotional wellbeing, and long term success for dogs who benefit from thoughtful, structured guidance.

Because every dog deserves support that works with their learning, not against it.

Expressions of Interest Open

We are currently gathering Expressions of Interest as we explore launching this service.

Submitting an EOI or application does not guarantee placement. It simply helps us understand whether Training Supported Walks are the right fit for you and your dog.

Limited placements. Individual dogs. Intentional support.
