POSITIVE PUPPY Program

Kind, science-based training for puppies under 5 months

Our Positive Puppy Program is a welfare-first developmental pathway designed to support emotional resilience, confidence, and lifelong communication, not just early obedience. Every class is structured to help puppies learn how to think, regulate, and engage with the world safely during their most important learning stage.

Give your puppy the very best start in life with our 4-week Positive Puppy Program designed to build confidence, calm behaviour, and strong communication from day one.

This program is perfect if you want to:

  • Set solid foundations early
  • Learn how to understand your puppy
  • Raise a confident, resilient family dog

Positive Puppy is Step One in the Flying Paws developmental pathway, designed to support calm, confident learning from the very beginning

THE FLYING PAWS DEVELOPMENTAL PATHWAY

At Flying Paws, our programs follow a structured developmental pathway designed to support puppies as they grow, from early foundations through to real-world confidence and lifelong partnership skills. Each step builds on the last, with Positive Puppy forming the safe, welfare-first foundation for everything that follows.

The next step in the pathway is Puppy to Pro, where these early foundations begin transitioning into real-world reliability. Each step builds intentionally on the last, creating calm progression without overwhelm.

THE FLYING PAWS SAFE STARt STANDARD

Our Safe Start Standard outlines the welfare, hygiene, and developmental safeguards built into every Flying Paws Positive Puppy Program.

  • Early learning should feel safe, supported, and developmentally appropriate. Our class environment is designed to prioritise emotional wellbeing, appropriate pacing, and positive early experiences for every puppy.
  • Puppies can begin from their first vaccination, allowing safe early learning during the most important developmental window
  • Our facility uses veterinary-grade cleaning and hygiene protocols designed to support safe early learning. This allows puppies from 8 weeks of age to attend in a calm, structured environment, even while they are still completing their vaccination schedule.

WHAT WE PRIORITISE IN EARLY DEVELOPMENT:

    • Life skills that matter: Loose lead walking, recall, engagement, and everyday manners.

    • Vet & grooming preparation: Positive handling so visits are stress-free.

    • Safe socialisation: Guided exposure to people, puppies, and new environments

    • Clear communication: Learn how to teach your puppy using rewards and understanding, not force.

    • Support for common challenges: Biting, chewing, jumping, and toilet training included
