Meet the Humans Behind the Training
Founded on decades of experience and shaped by ongoing education, the Flying Paws team blends calm leadership, modern behavioural science, and real-life practical training to support dogs and their humans at every stage.
PAT – Owner, Trainer & Behaviourist, Family Dog Mediator®
Pat’s journey into behaviour work began with her first Border Collies, Rily and Tana, whose training sparked a lifelong commitment to helping dogs and their humans thrive. Today, alongside Zani (affectionately known as the class clown of the Flying Paws team), her learning continues to evolve with every dog she works beside.
Those early dogs continue to shape the calm, thoughtful approach Pat brings to every family she works with today.
Pat brings decades of hands-on experience, a calm and a approach, and a deep commitment to welfare-first training.
Her approach focuses on helping dogs and their families feel supported, understood, and confident, particularly when navigating behavioural challenges.
As the founder of Flying Paws, Pat’s work shapes the philosophy and structure of every program and package offered. Her dedication to ongoing education ensures Flying Paws remains grounded in ethical practice, current science, and sustainable outcomes for both dogs and humans.

MOLLY – Trainer & Behaviourist, family dog mediator®
Molly’s journey into behaviour work began with a deep connection to dogs and a commitment to ethical, evidence-based practice. In 2015, she welcomed a Maremma puppy, Murphy, into the family and began her formal training journey with Flying Paws. Over the years, Murphy grew into a calm, confident dog and much-loved presence.
In 2024, Murphy was joined by Fox, a Lilac Border Collie with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. Together, Murphy and Fox reflect the balance at the heart of Molly’s approach, calm wisdom on one end of the lead and playful curiosity on the other.
Molly brings a calm, ethical, evidence-based approach that prioritises emotional wellbeing, consent, and long-term sustainability.. She is particularly passionate about helping families navigate real-life challenges with clarity and compassion, without fear, force, or pressure.
Alongside her hands-on training work, Molly holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Swinburne University and continues to invest heavily in professional development to stay aligned with modern behavioural science and best-practice welfare standards.
JENNIFER – TRAINING SUPPORTED WALKS Handler
Jennifer works alongside the Flying Paws team delivering our Training Supported Walks, a structured, thoughtful extension of the training journey.
Having trained with us on and off with her own dog, Shadow, since puppyhood, Jennifer understands firsthand the consistency, patience and clarity required to build reliable real-world skills. She has also competed in various dog sports, giving her a strong appreciation for timing, communication and the partnership that develops between dog and handler.
Jennifer’s role focuses on maintaining and strengthening the foundations established during training. Her walks are not simply exercise, they are structured sessions designed to reinforce loose lead walking, engagement, neutrality around distractions and calm decision-making in everyday environments.
She brings a steady, observant presence to each session, ensuring dogs are handled with clarity and respect while continuing to progress outside of formal lessons.
Through her work, Jennifer helps bridge the gap between training sessions and daily life, supporting long-term consistency and sustainable results for our clients.

MIRANDA – ADMINISTRATION & OPERATIONS SUPPORT
While you won’t see Miranda on the training field, her work plays a quiet but essential role behind the scenes at Flying Paws.
Miranda supports the operational side of the business, handling the administrative systems that allow our trainers to spend more time where it matters most, working directly with dogs and their families.
At Flying Paws, every role contributes to the experience our clients receive, and Miranda’s support is a big part of what allows our work to remain calm, thoughtful and consistent.
